The FTM Network is a national self help group, open to all female to male transgender and transsexual people, or those exploring this aspect of their gender.
The Gender Trust provides help to adults throughout the United Kingdom who are Transsexual, Gender Dysphoric, Transgender, or come to terms with their situation despite their genetic background), or those whose lives are affected by gender identity issues.
Gender Identity Research and Education Society (GIRES) A registered charity that provides education, based on research into gender identity and intersex issues, that helps all those able to improve the lives of people directly affected by these issues.
Mermaids is probably the most recognised UK support organisation and offers Information, support, friendship and the opportunity for children to share experiences. Additionally, they can also support, where possible, to help their families understand and accept their child’s gender identity issue.
Press for Change is a political lobbying and educational organisation which campaigns to achieve equal civil rights and liberties for all transgender people in the United Kingdom through legislation and social change.
Since 1998 Transgender Zone has been supporting those who feel they are confused about their gender, those who are looking for support for someone who is transgendered, and health and social care professionals, broadcast media and lay people who want to learn more about the subject.
TransLiving International exists to provide support and information on all aspects of cross-dressing and the transgender lifestyle for both trans people and those close to them through counselling and close-party support. In addition to publishing a magazine for members, it also runs its own nightclub events from its home in Essex.
