The Beaumont Society Membership website uses two-factor authentication (2FA) as part of the login process. This procedure is to increase security and help ensure that the person logging in is the person they claim to be.
The Beaumont Society uses 2FA to ensure the person logging into our membership area is you. The increased security helps prevent unwanted access to your account and hackers gaining access to other members' information.
When you log in, a unique, one-time code is sent to your smartphone; this code is then entered into your browser as part of the login process to confirm your identity.
To use 2FA, you need a smartphone and one of the following two apps (which can be downloaded from your device's app store):
When you log in for the first time on your device, you will be shown a QR code. Scan the code using your smartphone (or you can manually enter the very long key) into the Google Authenticator or Authy app and enter a 6-digit token.
For subsequent logins, the user will log in with their username and password as usual and then see this login form where they enter the 6-digit code displayed in the app. It's easy and very secure.
We recognise that some members may not have access to smartphones or be able to use them. For these members, we have put in place an alternative login method which uses a memorable word or phrase. You will be required to enter three letters from this word or phrase.
The alternative login method is on a request basis. Please use the link below.
